Laboratory overview

Research in the Park lab focuses on understanding the relevance of the cancer stroma (breast cancer, and CNS) in drug development, therapeutic resistance, prognosis and prediction and guiding local therapy.

Project description

As a postdoctoral fellow at the University of California, San Francisco, you will be driving a project in the discovery and translational area of tumor microenvironment. The aim of this project is to understand the mechanism of the YAP/TAZ signaling in tumors with different modalities, and to study the therapeutic effect of irradiation.

Your responsibilities include

Plan, perform and interpret experiments independently.
Collaborate closely with colleagues within the laboratory and other departments.
Write procedures, reports, grants, and publications.
Present projects internally and externally

You are

Someone who is driven, has the ability to build relationships with collaborators, and works independently.

Required skills

PhD in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry or related life sciences with strong background in Cancer Biology.
Hands-on experience with cell culture, immunofluorescence, cell transfection and imaging background is a plus.
Some experience handling mouse, and mouse surgery.
